ANZAC Assembly 2015
Room 5 have been learning all about World War 1. We have read about it and written about it especially with the 100 year anniversary of the landing this year.
In our class we have been reflecting, remembering, understanding and celebrating the contribution of the New Zealand and Australian soldiers at Gallipoli, Turkey. To acknowledge this legacy they have left behind our class organised and invited the community to our ANZAC Commemorative Assembly. This included singing the National Anthem, placing the memorial crosses by the flag pole, researching and ordering them in rank, Conor sharing his ANZAC writing piece, playing of the last post and the raising of the flag.
Here are some photos from our ANZAC day assembly held today. Lest we forget.
Thank you to you all for your commitment and leadership towards our school Anzac Assembly. You led our school with pride. Mrs Waite
