Year 7 & 8 McLeod Shield and Hurlstone Netball Opening Match

 On Friday 1st August the Year 7 & 8 class at Toko School opened up their 2014 Term 3 sporting campaign. To compete for the Taranaki Primary Schools Hurlstone Netball Trophy and the McLeod Shield for Rugby. Toko took on St Joseph's Opunake Primary School at Opunake.
 A beautiful day allowed for a great match up for both teams. In the netball St Joseph's Opunake proved to strong to win outright 38-4 with both teams enjoying the match up.
 In the rugby it was a see-saw match with Toko School narrowly coming out the victors 26-25. Toko started really strong in the first half and took the lead. St Joseph's attacked continually in the second half and threatened to take the match with Toko being able to hold on and keep the three year winning streak alive.
